由０號的The Fool（愚者）到２１號的The World（世界），一共２２張。

There are a few important decks. The Rider Waite Tarot Deck is a very popular beginner’s deck. Often for my friends I will buy the Universal Waite Tarot Deck because I prefer the colour scheme. Take a look at this deck and judge your own emotions. Now, as a person I am not that interested in the Rider-Waite Deck. However, the symbolism is often called "intuitive". And many decks derive their symbolism from the Rider-Waite. As a beginner to the tarot, you may prefer to learn on the Rider-Waite tarot deck, because many books also rely on it.
Another important tarot deck is the Aleister Crowley Thoth Tarot, Book of Thoth, Thoth … (you will see all these versions). Once again, the symbolism on this deck is quite universal. Unlike the Rider-Waite, there are some negative words printed on the cards. Whereas the tarot readers that look at the ten of swords in the Rider-Waite deck and claim that the man lying on the ground with ten swords sticking out of his back is a positive card, the Thoth deck labels this card "Ruin". Some people find this a bit off-putting. However, it is a rather beautiful deck and Aleister Crowley’s explanations are in the realm of genius, though sometimes Crowley can write like an IQ test gone awry.
For the lover of antiquity, there is the Ancient Tarots of Marseilles. I cannot say my own opinions on this deck because I do not like the images, but look at it and you may find it is the one for you. There is a sense of history to the deck that might appeal to you.
There are many beautiful decks out there. There are decks based on legends, like Legend: The Arthurian Tarot and the Dragon Tarot. There are decks that only consist of the major arcana. In choosing a new deck, look at what the artist names the cards and think whether you can get used to having to translate the words used in your studies, if such is the case. For example, I have seen wands referred to as spears, which confuses me because it is too close to swords. The court cards in some decks have been stripped of their courtly roles. Some decks don’t even have words written on the cards but force you to rely on the images. These are indeed advanced decks.
If, after reading and considering all the information in this article, you still want to buy that cute "Hello, Tarot!" deck, then go ahead, I can’t stop you.
